About Maraetai

Maraetai Forest is home to some of Auckland’s best mountain biking, offering a diverse mix of trails suitable for all skill levels. From smooth flow trails to technical descents, riders can expect hard-pack clay surfaces, roots, jumps, drops, tight switchbacks, and steep roll-downs. With trails ranging from Grade 2 to 5, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re looking to build confidence or push your limits.

Coaching takes place at the Maraetai Forest trails, expertly built and maintained by the Pohutukawa Coast Bike Club (PCBC). This passionate, community-driven club continues to expand and refine the network, making each season better than the last.
